I have a doctor’s appointment this afternoon. This is a semi annual check up for my elevated blood pressure. Even though I have been in pretty good shape, he has been bugging me to lose weight. I weighed in this morning at about 175. This is probably about 10 pounds less than what I weighed on my last visit. So I am interested to see what he says. I just did a search, and it looks like my BMI is in the normal range. It is toward the high end of the normal range. But the BMI doesn’t take into account muscle mass versus fat. Or maybe it doesn’t matter? My weight was down to 171 a week ago. That would have been cool to show up to the doctor’s with. I am planning on eating light today. I had a Healthy Choice meal fro breakfast (300 calories), and am planning on having one for lunch too. Oh, and I ate a couple bananas.
Anyway, I am looking forward to my doctor’s appointment. I am considering inquiring about a stress-test to figure out my VO2 max, and stuff like that. I am guessing insuarance wont cover it, but who knows. It can’t hurt to ask.
I have been testing my blood pressure on my own, and it doesn’t appear like it has dropped much with my weight loss, and massive amounts of aerobic conditioning.
