When all the Lean Cuisine frozen meals went on sale at the local grocery store, I headed down there. They were all on sale for the same price, so I first went for the larger Dinnertime Selects. Most of what they had left were the Chicken Portabello. But I did manage to snag one or two other Dinnertime Selects. One of those was the Chicken Tuscan. I think I only managed to get one of these. I got a whole bunch of the Chicken Portabello which aren’t very good.
I had the Lean Cuisine Chicken Tuscan (chicken tenderloins and linguine in a sun-dried tomato sauce, with broccoli and carrots) as a mid-afternoon snack. I wanted to get something to eat as I have a karate thing going on right after work. Anyway, the Chicken Tuscan has 280 calories with 6 grams of fat. The 50 fat calories are about 18% of the total calories. It counts as 5 Weight Watcher Points. It took about 6 1/2 minutes of microwave time. Somethig different was that I had to add a tablespoon of water to the vegetables. I didn’t have a tablespoon, so I splashed it under the water fountain for a second and guessed at how much water went in. It worked. The chicken looked pretty watery out of the microwave. But I stirred it up, and it looked much better. It was actually pretty good. Not great, but actually kind of satisfying. The vegetables were pretty good too after I sprinkled them with Molly McButter. I am going to have to see if they have more of these. I am going to by the store tonight, so I will check. I wish it came with a dessert (as long as it wasn’t that gross chocolate cherry dessert from the chicken portabello…yuck!).
