Yet another review of Healthy Choice meals. I am always watching for Lean Cuisine or Weight Watchers meals to come on sale! Of course my freezer is now full of Healthy Choice stuff. But then I am eating them for breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner!
For breakfast today I ate teh Healthy Choice Country Herb Chicken (white meat chicken in gravy). I had never had this one before. It came with roasted red potatoes, vegetable medley (broccoli, cauliflower, and a single piece of carrot), and for dessert cherry crisp.
The meal had 240 calories, with 5 grams of fat, and 600mg of sodium. The 5 grams of fat make up 45 calories, or almost 19% of the total calories). Weight Watchers counts this meal as 4 points.
I liked the chicken, but make sure you have a knife to cut it, or maybe at least a metal fork. My plastic fork wasn’t cutting it. But it was good. I liked the roasted potatoes too, and the gravy was okay. The vegetables were bland like all of the Healthy Choice vegetables. So out coems the Molly McButter to give them a little taste. The cherry crisp was very good also.
The fat calories being 19% was a little higher than I would like. But then it is still below the 20% mark. And the meal was pretty satisfying considering it only had 240 carloies in it. And it tasted good. So I will likely have this again. Especially considering I have more of them in my freezer.
